BeGrocer (“BeGrocer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to us.
This Privacy Policy explains how BeGrocer collects, uses, stores, shares, protects and otherwise processes personal data when you use the BeGrocer mobile application, website, products and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed by BeGrocer in connection with:
- The BeGrocer mobile application;
- The BeGrocer website;

To fulfil an order, we may collect:
- Delivery address;
- House, flat, building or locality information;

- Information necessary to confirm delivery.
2.3 Location Information
Where you grant the required permission, BeGrocer may process device location information to:
- Determine whether your location is within our serviceable area;
- Assist delivery personnel in locating the delivery address;
- Improve delivery accuracy; and
- Provide location-based services.
You may disable location permission through your device settings. Certain features, including serviceability checks or delivery assistance, may not function correctly without location access.
2.4 Order and Transaction Information
We may collect:
- Products ordered;
- Cart information;
- Order history;
- Order value;
- Payment status;
- Refund information;
- Invoices;
- Coupon or promotional-code usage;
- Delivery status; and
- Customer complaints relating to an order.
BeGrocer does not intentionally store complete card numbers, CVV numbers or UPI PINs. Payment credentials may be processed directly by authorised payment service providers.
2.5 Device and Technical Information
We may receive information such as:
- Device type and model;
- Operating-system version;
- Application version;
- IP address;
- Device identifiers or notification tokens where technically required;
- Crash and diagnostic information;
- Security logs; and
- Technical information relating to use of the Services.

- App interactions;

3. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
Unless specifically required and lawfully permitted for a particular service, BeGrocer does not intentionally collect:

- Contacts from your device;
- UPI PINs;
- Complete payment-card credentials; or
- Information unrelated to providing or improving our Services.

- Creating and maintaining customer accounts;
- Verifying accounts and preventing unauthorised access;
- Processing and fulfilling orders;
- Packing and delivering products;
- Providing delivery instructions to authorised delivery personnel;

- Protecting the security of our application and systems;
- Improving products, catalogue information and service performance;

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, BeGrocer may process personal data:

- Where processing is necessary to provide a service or fulfil an order requested by you;

Where consent is the applicable basis, you may withdraw consent through the method provided by BeGrocer, subject to legal and operational limitations. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.

BeGrocer implements reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against:
- Unauthorised access;
- Accidental loss;
- Destruction;
- Misuse;
- Unauthorised alteration; and
- Unauthorised disclosure.
Depending on the system and data involved, these measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, authentication controls, restricted administrative access, logging and other security measures.
However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and OTPs.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or for the period required by applicable law. Different categories of information may have different retention periods. For example:
- Order and transaction records may be retained for applicable accounting, tax, consumer-protection and regulatory requirements;
- Customer-support records may be retained for operational, dispute-resolution and compliance purposes;
- Security and fraud-prevention records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary;
- Certain information may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion.
When personal data is no longer required and there is no legal requirement to retain it, we may delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it.

These communications are different from promotional communications.
Where promotional communications require consent, they will be sent in accordance with applicable law. You may opt out of promotional communications without affecting your ability to use essential ordering services.

BeGrocer may use or link to third-party services, including payment processors, app stores, mapping services, analytics providers and other service providers. Third-party services may operate under their own privacy policies and terms. BeGrocer is not responsible for privacy practices independently controlled by those third parties.

The Services are intended for individuals who are legally capable of entering into transactions under applicable law. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.

14. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your BeGrocer account through the available account-deletion mechanism or by contacting BeGrocer. Where applicable law requires notification or other action following a personal-data breach or security incident, BeGrocer will take the required steps within the applicable legal framework. BeGrocer may investigate security incidents, contain affected systems and take corrective measures where reasonably necessary.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:
